Alumni

We've seen hundreds of students create their brighter future over the past 25 years! If you are a graduate and you haven't checked in with us for a while, please reach out. We would love to hear from you and get you connected to your classmates and to our current students.

The below alumni spoke to our high school students in the summer of 2020. Here are a few snippets of the wisdom they shared.

Luis Gonzales

“I’m a first generation student so I didn’t know the basics about college, the basics about college applications. Being able to have someone guide you through that process is priceless. It changed my life . . . Bridges makes you feel special, and I took that with me for the rest of my life.”

“Bridges blew my expectations out of the water. I didn’t expect to have the family field. I didn’t expect to get to explore myself and who I was, and that was something that definitely happened for me . . . Bridges taught me to accept people where they are, and to love them no matter our differences. Something I still carry with me is valuing people’s stories.”

“Options: that really key for Bridges and for my story because I feel like Bridges really broadened my horizons. My goals were very small before Bridges and it made me dream bigger. Also, Bridges taught me to be a bridge for other people and reach your hand back to help other people . . . And I turned that into a career for myself.”

Dean Bailey

“Before bridges, I didn’t really have direction. No one in my family went to college so there was no motivation. Bridges helped me figure out what my passion was.”
