Description
Bridges to a Brighter Future is a life changing experience for Greenville County 9th through 12th grade high school students whose potential outdistances their circumstances. Our goal is to provide you the tools and support you need to graduate from high school and go to college. We do this by providing you a four-week summer camp experience (for free!) at Furman University and year-round mentoring and academic support in our Saturday College program.

Summer Program
The summer program is awesome!
First, you get to be away from home for four weeks! Now, for those of you who are scared to be away from home, don't be too scared, because you get to talk to your family every night on the phone, they can come visit you on the weekends, and you get to go home one weekend in between the four weeks.

Second, you get to meet other really cool students who are just like you! Well, sort of like you. You all have a few things in common, but you are also very diverse. Students from all races and ethnicities attend Bridges. So, you get to chill with people you may not normally hang with at school.

Third, you get to experience college life before going to college. Staying in a dorm, going to classes, eating in the dining hall, etc… it is just like college!

Fourth, the classes are so fun! It may seem boring to spend the day in class, but the teachers make learning fun. Students learn what isn’t covered in school, while at the same time catching up or getting ahead for the next school year.

Fifth, you get to do things you might not normally get to do. Like you get to visit colleges, go on field trips to places outside of Greenville, take swim lessons, or go to a water park.

Sixth the counselors and teachers are amazing. They are the big brothers and sisters you never had. Think of the best day you ever had in your life...Bridges is better than that!
